How to Trim an MP3 File on Mac OS X
1. Make a copy of the MP3 file you wish to trim.2. Next ,Using QuickTime Player, open the MP3 file.
3. Then open Trim function, by using simply hit Command+T.
4. Now simply drag the yellow sliders on the left and right side to trim down the section of the song to where you want.
5. At last ,simply click on the yellow ‘Trim’ button.
6. Now go to File -> Save As and save as an iPhone .m4v movie file.
You should note that again you have to convert the song to MP3 format from it’s new m4v type by using iTunes. Simply follow the steps posted here to convert the song from m4v format to MP3 format. That’s it. In this way you can trim an MP3 file on Mac OS X using QuickTime player.
